Adult Competition

Club Closed Tournament – This yearly internal competition decides the Club Champions in the categories of Men’s and Women’s Singles/Doubles as well as Mixed Doubles and some veterans categories for over 50’s. The event is active from June with final’s weekend traditionally on the first weekend in September.

AEGON Team Tennis – Providing a Davis Cup style blend of singles and doubles for TWTC’s elite players. This competition starts in April and goes on through the summer months. Competing against other Clubs in teams of 4 players at county level. TWTC traditionally has two mens and one ladies team and fixtures are typically home and away at weekends.

Chippenham & District League – A wide range of Club and Intermediate players can enjoy competitive doubles action in this Summer League (April – July) with up to 12 teams from TWTC involved in home and away fixtures on Monday (Mixed) & Wednesday (Mens/Ladies) evenings. More info on C&D League.

Dan Smith Memorial – A very light hearted Sunday morning tournament that was inspired by a young up and coming member who lost his life at an early age. This is a very relaxed, fun tournament that does, at some stage, come up with a mens and ladies winner.

Winter FloodLight League – Through Autumn & Winter the floodlight league is a great way to keep your skills sharp, ready to hit the summer running. Teams of 4 compete for the Cup and the right to donate a contribution to a charity of their choice. Please click here for latest fixtures list.

TWTC Singles Box League – All year round singles matchplay with LTA Rating wins and prizes up for grabs.

American Doubles Tournament & BBQ – Social competition for all which is held a couple of times a year in the summer with BBQ.

Junior Competition

Club Closed Tournament - This yearly internal competition decides the Club Champions. The event is held as an all day round robin tournament on final’s weekend for 8, 9, 10 & Under Categories. For Under 14’s & 18’s the event is active from June with final’s w/end traditionally on the First w/end in September.

AEGON Team Tennis - Providing a Davis Cup style blend of singles and doubles for TWTC’s Mixed 8, 9, 10 & Under as well as Girls/Boys 12, 14, 16, 18 & Under. This competition starts in April and goes on through the summer months. Competing against other Clubs in teams of 4 players at county tier. TWTC traditionally has teams in all available age groups and fixtures are typically home and away at w/ends.

Timed Tennis Singles Matches – These are the introduction to juniors for learning how to compete and are built in to Junior coaching sessions all year round.

LTA Sanctioned & Graded Tournaments & Matchplay – For Juniors wishing to develop their competition skills the LTA sanction Mixed 8, 9, 10 & Under as well as Girls/Boys 12, 14 & Under events where ranking points and rating’s wins are available.
